LEAFY VEST

Many of us travel vast distances to view the color on hillsides set benignly ablaze as the onset of autumn turns formerly green leaves bright shades of crimson, orange, and gold before they drop off the branches that hosted them.  Then there are others who don’t need to travel far at all to find joy no less exquisite in observing the seasonal segue of, say, Japanese maple leaves on the trees growing right around the corner. This autumnal vest of intricately quilted leaves celebrates the colorful mellow season that Nature has cleverly devised for our delight.
