THE PRINCETON-YALE GAME INCREASES IN INTENSITY

Sporting events often begin somewhat tentatively as the two sides probe each other with care, but as the minutes tick away, adrenalin rises and fury builds.  This abstract quilt, using the school colors of venerable Ivy League rivals, captures a moment of climactic impact between the foes, whose formally positioned ranks on the outer edge of the playing field rush toward a violent collision in the center of their massed might.  This work is owned by Princeton University and is on permanent display on the first floor of the university’s First Campus Center.
